UNSCRIPTED - Photo Series

Unscripted

Challenging the scripted narrative of life, ‘Unscripted’ is a visual exploration that disrupts the illusion of life as a carefully scripted narrative.

This three-volume photo series was captured across Montreal, Toronto, Mexico, London, and Chicago. All from my iPhone. Each volume explores a distinct visual theme, accompanied by its own set of award recognitions and descriptions below.

AWARDS

VOLUME 1: MIRRORS

A photographic study of the mirrored behaviors between humans and wildlife in their natural habitats. Two wolves facing off—two runners in sync. A lone deer encircled by its herd—a man engulfed by a crowd. The confident stride of a fashionista mirrored by the roar of a lion. Pedestrians turning their heads in unison—just like a watchful cheetah on alert.

VOLUME 2: SHAPES

A study of repetition and form in the everyday. A bird framed by café chairs. A rabbit behind metal bars. A cat peering through a window grate. A woman centered in an arched doorway. A couple outlined by trees. A puppy seen through the gaps in a bus seat. Across cities and species, this volume captures the quiet geometry that surrounds us—and how shape can be a language of its own.
